Roy Maynard

Mr. Maynard is a Vice President/Principal at Evan James & Associates.  His passion for and career in the industry began at an early age.  When he was a junior at Florida A&M University, he obtained his mortgage broker’s license and worked full-time for a luxury home builder orchestrating the closings for all their builder clients.  Despite his high level of professional activity during college, he still graduated on time with his Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Economics.

After college he set out to utilize the large number of business and personal connections he possessed in the Central Florida community.  After many years of cutting his teeth brokering commercial real estate investment deals and leases for clients he was promoted to Vice President and offered partnership status.  He and his team now manage the property research group and they are very busy with many client requests.  Along with leading that team, Roy personally specializes in the acquisition, disposition and leasing of single and multi-tenant retail properties.

He’s also a principal partner in the upcoming 1.1 billion dollar, LEED certified, Vertical Medical City project located in Downtown Orlando.  When completed this two million square feet project will be home to the largest single-location senior housing facility in the United States with over 1,200 beds.  It will also have 500,000 square feet of professional medical and office space and be the home to world-class medical research and development facilities.

Lastly, he is a former Board Member for the Guys with Ties Philanthropy.  They are a group of professional business executives who host fun-filled, themed events and give the proceeds back to charity.  To date, they have raised over 650k for over 60+ local non-profits and have poured in several thousand volunteer hours back into the community.  They were recently awarded the 2018 YMCA of Central Florida Volunteerism Award and the 2017 Amy Van Bergen Generosity Award.
