Mr. Maynard is a Vice President/Principal at Evan James & Associates, which is a full-service commercial real estate brokerage headquartered in Central Florida. His passion for and career in the industry began at an early age, while a junior at Florida A&M University. While there he obtained his mortgage broker’s license and worked full-time for a luxury home builder orchestrating the closings for all their builder clients. Despite his high level of professional activity during college, he still graduated on time with his Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Economics.
After college he continued his mortgage brokerage career full-time. He had a dream of building a book of business and leaving a legacy in his hometown of Orlando and set out to utilize the large number of business and personal connections he had created while growing up in Central Florida. He spent many years in the mortgage industry before making the decision to pursue and become an expert in the commercial real estate industry. He was promoted to Vice President and offered partnership status within the brokerage after many years of service. He and his team now manage the property research group and they are very busy with many client requests. Along with leading the research team, Roy specializes in the purchase, sale and leasing of single and multi-tenant retail plazas for his clients.
He’s also a principal partner in the upcoming 1.1 billion dollar, LEED certified, Vertical Medical City project located in Downtown Orlando. When completed this two million square feet project will be home to the largest single-location senior housing facility in the United States with over 1,200 beds. It will also have 500,000 square feet of professional medical and office space and be the home to world-class medical research and development facilities.
